WOMEN’S MINISTRIES
This is a new ministry within Aldersgate developed to enable women to experience the love and glory of God through spiritual nourishment and supportive fellowship with other women. Opportunities are available for women of all ages to participate in a variety of specially-tailored programs, as well as volunteer to nurture other women in their journey with Christ. Women's Ministries activities will include:
Women’s Ministries Leadership Team - meets monthly to develop new programs and events to help women connect and form meaningful relationships with other women and support them in their spiritual journey.
Small Group Studies - a variety of small groups will meet in day and evening settings. Studies are designed to bring women together and encourage them to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, regardless of where they are on their journey. New believers, seasoned disciples, career women, stay-at-home mothers, and retirees will all find a home in one these small groups. Groups will be initiated early in 2007.
Apples of Gold - based on the best-selling book Apples of Gold by Betty Huizenga, this six-week nurturing program for young women will offer opportunities for fellowship and spiritual enrichment under the guiding hand of a mentor host. Talk time, homemaking/hospitality tips and cooking demonstrations, as well as a shared meal are paired with Bible studies on such topics as loving your husband and nurturing children. Schedule to be announced early in 2007.
Mother to Mother - a monthly get-together for stay-at-home mothers of young children designed to provide encouragement, fellowship and inspiration, and equip them to more effectively live vibrant Christian lives. Programs will include connection time with other mothers, professional speakers, creative projects, and refreshments. A schedule for monthly meetings during the school year will be announced early in 2007.
